Bear Naked!

BEAR
I've been taking Elle for walks in the Baby Bjorn carrier lately because she just loves to look around. She rather be in the carrier than strapped down in the stroller, plus we hold hands when we walk together which is nice. Our walks are not only fun for her, but I get a great 30 minute (2 mile) power walk in and since I'm carrying her, I have an extra 14 lbs on my body which really works my legs! My point of this post is to show how cute she looked in the outfit she wore for our walk. She didn't like the hat at first (she doesn't like ANYTHING touching her head), but I told her she had to wear it since it was windy out.

NAKED

The significance of this post is for no other reason than to show off her nakedness and cuteness!

Exercising

When I practice my kickboxing routine before I teach class I always do the routine for Elle. As I'm going through the moves I say them out loud to her, just like I'm teaching her the routine (i.e. jab, cross, jab, cross, knee, knee...). The video shows exactly what she does while I'm jumping around, kicking, and punching. - I think she likes it because I taught kickboxing class while I was pregnant.

Cleaning up after breakfast

After breakfast, Elle enjoys cleaning her hands and mouth with the washcloth on her own (she mostly just licks the washcloth). She has been eating her cereal mixture (which consists of: either whole grain rice or whole grain oatmeal with some banana mashed up for sweetness and a little formula) 1 or 2 times a day. She doesn't seem to like the cereal unless there is a banana in it - I guess she gets her sweet-tooth from her parents (plus, we don't blame her, that stuff does not taste very good unless its doctored up)!

GO BEARS!

Ellison couldn't wait for the football season to start so she could wear her favorite Bears onesie. She's thinking that the defense will be fantastic, and that Orton will suprise many...this morning she woke us while babbling "we are the Bears, shufflin crew, shufflin on down, doin it for you." I had tears in my eyes! We have no doubt her first words will be "DA BEARS!"

Rolling from belly to back...finally!

Elle has become quite a pro at rolling over from her back to her belly, but until last night she had not completed the full circle. With some determination and a lot of grunting she will now roll from her belly to her back! She has done it at least 5 times already today!

Our Blue Demon Baby

Ellison is proudly representing her daddy's school in her new DePaul Blue Demons t-shirt, the shirt says, "On my way to DePaul"
(thanks to Marc, Lynnette, and Sumner Becker).
