Our little get-away and our little sweetie

Jonathan and I took a little vacation to Door County last weekend. We stayed at a lovely little bed and breakfast called the Chanticleer Guest House, did some wine tasting at 3 different wineries, rode a tandem bike through Door Peninsula Park (9 miles), and shared some quiet, alone, time together. Ellison was in good hands with my parents in Wausau, so we were able to really relax and have a good time together.
Here are some of the sites we saw and places we went:

of course we had to go to Ellison Bay

here we are at Ellison Bluff
yes those are goats on a grass roof!
Jonathan made a new friend

I guess the goats need a little help

our friends Michael and Whitney came up from GB to go to dinner with us
Here are some shots from around our B&B

yes, there were chickens running around

...and sheep!

It was so nice to get away, but we really missed Ellison and we were so happy to return to see her.

Speaking of Elle, here she is eating a banana like a big girl!
She's been having fun closing her eyes
feeding her baby (she really pushes the bottle into her baby's face, we are working on being a little more gentle).

feeding herself!

she loves her beads
and we love her!

Here's Elle giving her daddy a hug before he leaves for work - yes they are matching (both wearing pink). kisses
Here are they are, both in purple, spending time together before Jonathan left for work when Elle was only 1 month old.

This is what Ellison does when we tell her we are going for a bike ride and go to put her helmet on...

I finally caught her! It's not that she doesn't want to wear it, she's just so excited! She runs and screams and says "helmet" for a few minutes until she is ready to wear it.

We purchased this bike seat a couple weekends ago, we wish we would have got it at the beginning of summer - she loves going on bike rides with us!

She loves to play with water, however she doesn't like to drink it out of her sippy cup; this is much more fun for her.

Jonathan just had to get her this jersey. She wore it last Saturday for the Bears/Giants game. Jonathan wants her to wear it every Bears game now, since it's "good luck" Ellison liked it so much, she didn't want to take it off.
...getting ready to make a big tackle (Jonathan says "she is getting ready to crush the Packers")!

Elle hanging out with her Grandma Marcy

Here's her favorite place to hide (in our front coat closet). ..."has anyone seen Elle?"

she loves to try on everyone's shoes/sandals

Here is our Family Room BEFORE the remodel...

Our new pet...not, plus Elle being Elle

This little guy was in our house last week...after getting on my gloves (with the tennis racket near by) I trapped him in a bowl, then threw him out on the patio. This was a touch and go situation for a moment, but I set him free and everyone was ok, even the bat!

I had to take this picture as proof of Ellison's first pigtails!

(listen for her saying "poop" and also the little burp-up at the end)

A bunch of random, but fun, pictures!

I got Ellison's swing out for a friend to use when she visited us (Jen's 4 month old daughter Natalie) a couple weeks ago, and we still have it out. Elle has been rocking her little doll and pushing the music button (a million times) daily!

Ellison is going to make a great big sister some day!

Here's Elle in one of her favorite spots lately - our front coat/shoe closet!

I had to take this picture of Jonathan as he sat for several minutes resting after an extremely hot bathroom vent install in our guest bathroom - he was up in our attic for a very long time (note: his clothes are almost completely drenched in sweat, he also had insulation all over).

Elle looking cute

Check out this little number she put together! She loves trying on our shoes these days.

She swapped the shoes of this polka dotted sun hat! Another great combo!

First time with painted toe nails!

Getting ready for the 5th Annual River Rat Regatta in Wausau last weekend! The "River Rat" is when all the river folk (a.k.a. my parents, relatives, and friends who live along the Wisconsin River) decorate their pontoons and parade around. After that, we all gather at "Daytona Beach" (a.k.a. the sandbar) and hang out. There is a dinner later on and awards are given to the best boat, most original boat, and best costumes. This year 10 boats participated. We didn't win any prizes, but we sure had fun!
This is my parent's boat at their dock. We had a "tropical cruise" theme.

We tried putting Elle in prime position while the judging took place to score us extra points. We were told that we would have won the "Cutest Boat" award because of Elle!

Here are my Aunt Mary and Uncle Tom aboard the Tropical Cruise boat with us!

This is Jonathan coco-nut bra and all! By the way, that is a wig on his head (not a turban)!!! The hair was so long and hot, that he had me put it in a pony tail - overall, not a very good look on him!

Ellison trying on Grammy's shades!

Here is the winning boat, a Pirate ship! When we first saw this boat, we all said, that one is the winner for sure.

A Yogi Bear and Boo-boo Picnic boat.

A Chinese Dragon boat (they won for best costume).

Of course my Aunt Linda and Uncle "Bullet" Bob had a Packer Boat!

Uncle Tom dancing with Ellison.

The other day Ellison was playing dress up yet again, this time with her daddy's things. Here she is trying on his Harley Davidson bandanna.

Next we have the bandanna cowboy hat look!

A Chicago Bear's hat.

And another Bear's hat.
-Elle loves to try all of our clothes, shoes, and hats on and look at herself in them. She also always wants us to show her the camera after we take a picture of her when she is modeling.
This is a picture my friend Katie took of Elle at a new sprinkler park we tried out the day!
