At 5 1/2 weeks, Ellison weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz! There are a few cute rolls forming which makes thorough cleanings very necessary during diaper changes and baths! Some of her newborn clothes are starting to fit a little snug...0-3 month size, here she comes!

Weight Update
I took Ellison to the doctor last Thursday (May 15) for her weigh-in, and she tipped the scale at a whopping 7 lbs 3 oz! This great weight gain is attributed to all of the time we have been spending together lately...let's just say I'm on demand every hour and a half to 2 hours! The doctor said she is eating so often because she is having a growth spurt. Areas of growth are noticed in her: face (chubby cheeks), chin (doubling), and hands and thighs (thickening). Although I don't want to rush time, I am really looking forward to the next time I can get more than 2 hours of continuous sleep.

Ellison and Natalie
Ellison and Natalie got to hang out last night...Ellison was cranky (hence the red face), and while Natalie was perfect, we think Elle may have scared her just a little bit. Thursday, May 8, 2008
Due date
Today, (May 8th) was supposed to be the due date of our baby...however Ellison had plans of her own, she didn't care what day the medical staff said she would come! We are so happy she came when she did since we couldn't hardly wait a second longer to meet her, I guess she felt the same about us too! We have loved the past 2 weeks and 2 days with her and look forward to so many more!

She's getting bigger!
Ellison had her 2 week old doctor appointment yesterday and she did great! Our doctor said she is absolutely perfect in every way (we already knew that)! She weighed in at 6lbs. 4oz. (up 10oz. from last Tuesday), our doctor was very pleased. We are so proud of her; she was such a good girl at her appointment, plus she is such a good eater, the pounds are really packing on!
