Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all!! Last night, we shared Christmas Eve with the Taylor family in Lake Forest. Here's a little sampling of the night's events!

Peanut Matta - 20 Weeks

We wanted to share our 20 wk ultrasound pictures with everyone since we are so proud of our little one. Everything measured up perfectly and the Doc says "Peanut" is very healthy. Peanut currently weighs 12 oz and is about 7 " long, with a stong heart rate of 160 bpm!

At 18 wks, I felt Peanut move for the first time! The movements/punches/kicks have gotten stronger everyday since and recently Jonathan has been able to feel these movements too - this is so amazing!!!

Making Room for Peanut Matta

About 1 month ago Erin and I decided to take some open attic space and convert it into storage - the biggest draw to the whole thing was that I'd get to wear my tool belt. Last night we finished the job by putting in the carpeting - now, we've got ample storage for baby peanut stuff...or a place for me to sleep when I get into trouble (as opposed to outside).

The Baby's Room

We continued to set up our little Peanut's room today. Our new bassinet is a generous loaner from Steve and Danielle Weiland. The room is really coming together and looking more like a baby's room now! The bassinet, accompanied by other baby accoutrements (such as blanket, clothes, and books) from family and friends, are helping us get prepared for the gift to come in May!

Baby Matta's 1st ultra-sound at 12 weeks!

Here's the first picture of our baby! Jonathan and I were laughing with tears when this image appeared on the ultra-sound screen. It was so fun to see our baby bouncing around, it looks like we are going to have a lively one on our hands! The ultra-sound made everything seem so real. Our baby is approximately the size of a lime at this time and is growing every day. Our doctor set the due date for May 8th.

San Francisco

We are happy parents-to-be in San Francisco on Jonny's business trip. At 7 weeks along the nauseau was in full effect, especially in the airplane, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our time together in this fun city.

We know that's a heck of an equation, but it makes sense to us. We are so excited for our little peanut, who will be here in May 2008!
